1. Warranty Coverage

● The warranty period is the one established in the warranty policy.
● The warranty covers manufacturing defects and performance failures under
normal conditions of use.
● In the event of failure during the warranty period, the battery or charger will be
replaced or repaired at no additional cost, provided the
stated requirements are met.

2. Conditions for Warranty Validity

● The warranty is valid only if the customer presents the original purchase invoice.
● Any unauthorized modification or tampering with the battery or charger will void the warranty.
● The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
● Improper use, impacts or falls.
● Improper charging, overcharging or use of an incompatible charger.
● Exposure to extreme temperatures, excessive humidity or contact with water.
● Natural wear and tear from normal use.
● Improper maintenance or maintenance outside EVOBIKE facilities.

3. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage caused by falls, accidents, impacts, crushing or any type of mechanical impact.
  • Improper handling or modifications by the user or unauthorized third parties, including repair attempts outside our service centers (excluding repairs via video call).
  • Damage due to improper charging: If the battery is left completely discharged and is not recharged within a reasonable period, causing the battery to reach a very low voltage or become inoperative, this damage will not be covered by the warranty. We recommend keeping the battery at a minimum charge level of 20% to avoid permanent damage from deep discharge.
  • Damage caused by overheating due to exposure to heat sources such as radiators or prolonged exposure to the sun.
  • Improper use of the charger, such as connecting it to unstable power sources, portable generators or voltage surges.
  • Sudden power outages or voltage spikes during charging that affect the charger or the battery.
  • Improper installation of the battery or incorrect connections that cause short circuits or melting of electrical components.
  • Improper connection of the charging cables, including damage caused by bending, twisting or pulling the cables.
  • Swollen batteries or batteries showing signs of deformation due to overcharging or poor storage.
  • Damage caused by charging at extreme temperatures, especially under conditions of extreme cold or excessive heat.
  • External contamination such as dust, water, mud or other liquids getting in and affecting the performance of the battery or charger.
  • Use in adverse environments that are not recommended, such as areas with high humidity, salinity or continuous exposure to water. Likewise, it does not cover use in surface water that comes into contact with the battery of the Velmpu/electric scooter.
  • Exceeding the actual maximum authorized weight, according to the technical specifications, or performing continuous work that overloads the equipment.

4. Recommendations for Battery Use and Care:

  • First charge: Fully charge the battery before using it for the first time.
  • Charging cycle: Do not let the battery discharge completely on a
regular basis. Ideally, keep it between 20% and 100% of its capacity to extend its service life.
  • Operating temperature: Avoid using or charging the battery in extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 45°C).
  • Storage: If you won't be using the vehicle for an extended period, store the battery at a charge level between 40% and 60%. Avoid storing it fully discharged or fully charged. Remember to charge it for at least one hour every week.
  • Periodic inspection: Regularly check the battery cables and connector to make sure there are no signs of wear or damage.

5. Charger Care

  • Always use the original charger provided. Using non-original chargers can cause permanent damage to the battery and void the warranty.
  • Avoid exposing the charger to extreme temperatures or humidity.
  • Plug the charger into a safe, stable power outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapters that may cause voltage fluctuations.

6. Safety Guide and Warnings

● Plug the charger into a safe, stable power outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapters that may cause voltage fluctuations.
● Helmets and protective equipment are required when riding the Velmpu/electric scooter.
● We recommend not using the Velmpu/electric scooter while traveling or in densely populated areas, nor in surface water that comes into contact with the battery. Scooters must not be used by more than one person at a time, nor on stairs or in elevators.
● Slow down when riding in populated areas and on uneven roads.
● The Velmpu/electric scooter is a sports and leisure device rather than a vehicle, but once it is in a public area it also becomes a means of transportation and can therefore create a risk or cause an accident. Strictly follow the
safety guidelines and warnings to protect yourself and others.
● At the same time, you must understand the following: once you ride a Velmpu/electric scooter on roads or in public areas, due to the risk of hitting other people or riding improperly, you may also be in danger even if you fully follow the operating manual. It is therefore very important to keep an appropriate speed and a reasonable, safe distance from other vehicles. And before entering an unfamiliar road, stay alert and slow down.
● Please respect pedestrians when using your Velmpu/electric scooter; endangering pedestrians, especially children, is prohibited. When riding behind pedestrians, slow down as you pass. Pass on the pedestrian's left side. When facing a pedestrian, keep to the right and reduce your speed.
● Regulations and laws are not yet in force; please strictly follow these guidelines and warnings. Our company does not accept any joint liability or legal dispute.
● For safety reasons, get to know your Velmpu/scooter before you start using it.
● Inspect your Velmpu/electric scooter properly. If you find any loose screws, battery dropping issues or excessive wear, stop using it immediately and contact your local distributor and the technical service center for help.
